Staff Spotlight
1. What is your name? Jordie Field
2. What department do you teach in/what courses do you teach? I teach in the English Fine Arts Division. I teach beginning Art 1 and Art Survey; as well as all the Advanced Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Jewelry Making and it all comes together in A/P Art.
3. How long have you been teaching at BGHS? Almost 20 years.
4. Where did you go to high school? I attended John Hersey High School.
5. What part of teaching do you find the most rewarding? I very much enjoy the classroom experience, it is very dynamic seeing students express themselves as individuals and then come together to help one another. We have such an incredibly talented bunch of students who are a privilege to work with every day! All the students’ abilities stem from the great headstarts their parents give them.
6. What is something unique about you? Well…I bike most days to school from Lake Forest, Illinois. It is a twenty mile ride one way, so it is a 40 mile round trip. It takes only an extra 10 minutes to cycle as opposed to driving.
7. What activities or clubs to do you coach/sponsor? I sponsor the Buffalo Grove H.S. Art Club.
