Happy New Year!

Friday Focus -   BGHS Orchestra on Chicago Tonight!

WTTW is currently planning to air a piece highlighting the BGHS Orchestra's performance of Solaces (written for BGHS after our losses last school year), which will air on Chicago Tonight on Wednesday, January 17.  Chicago Tonight is an hour-long news magazine show that airs from 7 pm – 8 pm.  The piece about Solaces would most likely run sometime after 7:30, though it will be promoted at the top of the show and in the middle of the show.

ATTENTION EDGAR A. POE SCHOOL FAMILIES:
Poe is celebrating their 50th anniversary this spring with a commemorative tile wall display put together by our students, staff and alumni.  They would like to invite any former Poe students, families or staff that are at BGHS to contribute a tile to our wall to celebrate their time at Poe, or to honor someone who might have.  Tiles will be sold for $10, and packets with the directions, an order form, and special paper designed for the project are available in the Poe school office now for pickup.  Designs should be turned in by February 5, 2018 and the tile wall will be unveiled at their 50th celebration on May 3, 2018.   You can also save the date for their celebration on May 3, 2018 from 6:30-8:30, details will be out soon.  Questions to pto.poe@gmail.com.

Celebrating Our Success!

Chicago Tribune, December 27, 2018
Buffalo Grove's recent performance at the Rus Erb Invitational illustrated the program's progress under second-year head coach Kurt Kutska. Led by TJ West, the Bison collected five top-six medals and finished ninth of out 19 teams on Dec. 16 at Glenbrook South. Last year, the Bison placed 15th at the same tournament.
