Friday Focus - March 10th Blood Drive
The slogan for this year’s blood drive is “You’re Somebody’s Type”. I’m always proud of the times when our student body steps outside of their own world to positively impact the world around them. The slogan, You’re Somebody’s Type, is really a great perspective not only for a blood drive, but for each of us that desire to make a difference in the lives of our friends and neighbors.
The world population recently eclipsed 7 billion people, with no two exactly alike. Which means that each of us are uniquely qualified to bring a perspective and support to family, colleagues, coaches, players, neighbors, or even strangers that no one else in the world can. Who are the people in your life that need a spirit of hope and love from you? Through a blood drive, or a cup of coffee, I hope we each of us take a moment to invest in someone else this month!

Attention Parents of Student Athletes:
This past November head coaches at Buffalo Grove High School attended a training by internationally known Human Performance Specialist, John Underwood. Mr. Underwood has worked extensively with Olympic and Professional athletes, as well as the highest levels of military special operations, helping humans perform at their peak. He also works at schools locally and internationally to help student athletes achieve their maximum potential on and off the field. He addressed such topics as sleep, nutrition, diet, recovery, the effects of blue light, drug and alcohol use, and injury prevention. We found his presentation extremely informative and we would like our students and parents to have the opportunity to benefit from this important information. On Thursday, April 14th John Underwood will be returning and spending the day at Buffalo Grove High School with our student athletes, parents, and coaches. You are invited to attend John Underwood’s presentation for parents the evening of Thursday, April 14th from 7 to 8:30PM in the gym - Registration is required
