Friday Focus: BGHS Celebrates 50th Year!
For many of us, it is hard to believe that this year marks the 50th anniversary of BGHS. This golden anniversary is an important milestone in the history of Buffalo Grove High School and all who have played a part in its story. We are excited to celebrate throughout this school year.

BGHS Fall 2022 College & Military Rep Visits
BGHS will be hosting college and military reps both in person and virtually. All rep visits, even the virtual visits, will be held in the College and Career Center (room G153). Please pick up a pass in the College and Career Center to attend any of these rep visits.

PSAT/NMSQT Registration Deadline Friday 9/9
The Registration deadline for the October 12th PSAT/NMSQT exam for Juniors is next Friday, September 9. NO LATE REGISTRATION CAN BE ACCEPTED. Please click on this link to register: PSAT NMSQT Online Registration. The cost of the exam is $30 (students that are approved for free or reduced lunch may register online and will receive a reduced cost.)
Juniors who do not register for the NMSQT will automatically be given a free practice PSAT exam instead. No registration is required for this free practice exam. These exams will allow BGHS to fully support all junior students in preparation for the state SAT exam administered in April. Please see the PSAT/NMSQT Student Guide, for more detailed information.

Buffalo Grove senior Mario Torres is one of the top returnees in the Mid-Suburban League. Tyler Lieu, Charlie Kummerow, Nick Cozzi, Ricardo Loeza, Riley Wold and Will Capito are slated to be among the key runners for the Bison. Students at Township High School District 214 off to ‘successful start following 3 years of pandemic circumstances’

The nearly 12,000 students of Arlington Heights-based Township High School District 214 started the new academic year earlier this month, with Buffalo Grove High School set to turn 50 and other district schools looking at expanded programs, according to SD214 officials. The district, one of the largest in the state – outside of Chicago Public Schools – has six high schools, including John Hersey in Arlington Heights and BGHS in Buffalo Grove. School leaders say they are looking forward to the school year being more of a return to the normal that was established before the coronavirus pandemic started. Public health restrictions and mitigations began during the 2019-2020 academic year. Read Story
