2023-24 Online Registration Opens Monday, June 5th
All Students Must Register Each Year by July 31st!
The online registration for the 2023-24 school year will open on Monday, June 5th at 8:00 am. Online registration must be completed for ALL students by July 31st, including all incoming freshmen. The link for online registration will be available on the main page of the BGHS website beginning Monday, June 5th. More information about registration can be found HERE.
Reminder to All Returning Students: Schedules will be released in August and IDs, bus schedules, and other information will be available once online registration is complete and outstanding obligations have been cleared. Remember to return all library materials, textbooks, uniforms or other items.
Reminder to all Freshmen and New Students: You must provide an original birth certificate, and residency must be verified. In addition to online registration, a current physical and the appropriate immunization records are required for your enrollment to be complete. You can download and print these medical-related forms from the registration website.
Reminder to all Seniors: All 12th grade students must show proof of having received two doses of Meningococcal Conjugate Vaccine (Menactra, Menveo, MCV4) prior to entering 12th grade. The first dose is to be administered on or after the student’s 11th birthday, and the second dose must be administered on or after their 16th birthday. If the first dose is administered when the child is 16 years of age or older, only one dose is required. Students will not be able to receive their class schedules in August until this requirement is met. Your child will be subject to exclusion as described in the school code of Illinois.

Congratulations to the Scholastic Bowl team - Ben Finkelshteyn, Rohan Ganeshan, Jack Omansky, Lucas Pasdo and Joe Van Hoy on finishing Second in the NATION at the NAQT Scholastic Bowl High School National Championship Tournament in Atlanta over the weekend!
Huge congratulations to junior, Rohan Ganeshan, who was the top individual scorer in the NATION at the NAQT Scholastic Bowl High School National Championship Tournament!
Congratulations to Bison Softball on winning the Regional Championship for the 3rd year in a row! They defeated Stevenson 9-0 last weekend and went on to beat Libertyville 10-4 on Tuesday to advance to the Sectional Championship vs. Warren TODAY at 4:30 pm. The game is at Warren's Almond Campus (34090 N. Almond Road, Gurnee). Fight on!
Congratulations to Jenna Kosnoff, who after getting 2 runs in the Softball Sectional semifinal win, is now the single season record holder for runs scored! She bests one of BG's all time greats, Lindsey Hamma, who had 44 in 2000.
Congratulations to Kate Ryan who is now BG's career strikeout record holder after striking out 9 in the Sectional Semifinal win!
Congratulations to Softball's Hannah Hull who was voted SBLive's Illinois High School Athlete of the Week (May 15-21)! According to SBLive, Hannah received more than 52 percent of the votes. “Hull came through when the Bison needed it the most against Barrington. The senior stepped up to the plate with her team down 5-4 in the last inning and she answered the call with a three-run walk-off home run to win the Mid-Suburban League championship.”

A reminder to please return all library books, textbooks, calculators, team uniforms and equipment. You will not be able to see your 2023-24 schedule when they are released in August, if you have items that have not been returned.

What is your name? Tom Arrseneau
What department do you work in/ How long have you been working at BG? I am the Building & Grounds Supervisor. I have a crew of 21 CMA (Custodial Maintenance Association) members. We clean the building, maintain the building, and maintain the grounds. They all have 3 shifts (24 hours a day). I became the Buffalo Grove High School Building & Grounds Supervisor 12 years ago 7/1/2011. I have worked in District 214 since 8/1991. I will retire with 32 years in our great District 214.
What part of your career have you found the most rewarding? I love seeing how our buildings and grounds have changed. Pool, Fine Arts Building, Turf field, removal of all triangle rooms, updating the library.
What are you most looking forward to in retirement? Traveling with my wife (Patty), fly fishing, and working on my photography.

Softball: Veller's hot bat helps Buffalo Grove beat Stevenson

After moving from first base to play shortstop in the last inning, Paige Veller caught a popup to shallow left for the final out of the game. Before that, Veller was the toughest out in the championship game of the Glenbrook South Class 4A regional softball championship on Saturday in Glenview. Her bat caught fire for the first 3-for-3 performance of her two-year varsity career and it helped ignite the offense of top-seeded and Mid-Suburban League champion Buffalo Grove in a 9-0 shutout over No. 8 Stevenson (14-11-1).
