Friday Focus:
Environmental Club Expands BG’s Native Garden
Recently, the BGHS Environmental Club moved into Phase 2 of their Native Garden project. Students planted 1,400 new plants! The Native Garden is located in front of the building, to the right of the Main Entrance. About 1/3 of the new plants are behind the first section and along the windows to the foyer of the pool. These are all a little more shade tolerant/woodland type plants. The rest of the plants are on the other side of the pathway that is currently roped off. Spring is going to be awesome!
The Prospect Heights Natural Resource Committee provided the plants, tools, and their time to help make the students' vision a reality. The following students helped plant: Alicen Artus, Samantha Avalos Calderon, Emilia Bolinski, Emily Durso, Joyce Ebenezer, Marilyn Fermin, Anna Gerdes, Payton Johnson, Katarina Meschbach, Flynn Raminiak, Kayla Reyes Morales, Hailey Sullivan and Michael Waz
