Please go to the BGHS website under “School Info” then “Registration” or CLICK HERE for the online registration portal link. If you have any questions, please contact the Assessment Center at 847-718-4030 or speak to your AP teacher.

Bison Band Trivia Night Friday, November 3
The Buffalo Grove Instrumental Association will host the First Annual Trivia Night to support the band program on Friday, November 3. Tickets are $35 per person and purchases your entry ticket and buffet dinner. A cash bar will be available. There will be tables/teams of eight, so invite your friends and family to join in on the fun!

Staff Spotlight - Pedro Vargas

What is your name? My name is Pedro Vargas.
What department do you teach in/ How long have you been teaching at BG? I am a School Psychologist and this is my first year here at BG!
Where did you go to high school/college? I graduated from Palatine High School. I got my Psychology BA from Northern Illinois University and my School Psychologist Ed.S from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
What part of teaching do you find the most rewarding? The most rewarding part is having the chance to make a difference with students, families and school staff.
What’s a bucket list item for you? I'd love to visit and travel around Spain.
What are you currently reading, and/ or do you have a favorite author or podcast? I just finished reading Klara and the Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro. My favorite authors are Adrian McKinty and John Green.
What is something unique about you? I support and subscribe to a club called the Awesome Socks Club. They're a non-profit organization who raises money to help decrease maternal and child mortality. I get a new pair of socks every month, check them out!
