Friday Focus:
Variety Show and Faculty Follies Premier
The pandemic won’t stop Buffalo Grove High School’s creative talent from being showcased! This year, the school’s annual Variety Show and Faculty Follies have joined together to provide one incredible virtual experience. The event will feature students and staff from all walks of Buffalo Grove High School Life. The theme of this year's show is Once in a Lifetime, utilizing the classic Talking Heads song to capture the essence of this unique and unprecedented year. Student acts range from piano soloists, metal guitar bands, pop-rock ensembles, spoken word poetry, and more. The faculty and staff get involved and add their own special blend of parody, comedy, and talent to the show. The show will premiere on YouTube and Vimeo on Friday, April 9th at 7pm and will be available for your viewing pleasure for several weeks. All are welcomed and encouraged to experience the creative endeavors of these students and staff, and all will find enjoyment and delight in the variety that is offered. What department have you/ do you work in? CMA (maintenance) Department.
How long have you been working at BG? I have been at BGHS for 3 years, but I've worked in the District for 21 years.
Where did you go to high school? I attended school in Mexico City.
What part of working at BG do you find the most rewarding? Working with the entire staff in the building.
What are you currently reading, and/ or do you have a favorite author or podcast? I am not reading anything right now, but I enjoy reading articles about food, plants, and traveling.
What is something unique about you? I enjoy cooking and trying new recipes.

Girls volleyball: No day off for Ferriss, Buffalo Grove in sweep of Glenbrook North

Abby Ferriss made sure that Buffalo Grove didn't take the day off.
Playing against Glenbrook North, Ferriss did a twist and shout with 8 kills and an ace to lead the Bison to a 25-16, 25-21 nonconference girls volleyball win Saturday.
