They imagined following in their siblings' footsteps. And they did. But that legacy ends with them and the 59 other members of the show choir when The Expressions gives their final performance Saturday.  Read Story

Buffalo Grove, Stevenson High Among 'Most Challenging' Schools: Washington Post
Grayslake Patch, May 12, 2017
Many students can skate by in high school with good grades when they choose less-challenging courses. With that in mind, the Washington Post recently released its 2017 list of the Most Challenging High Schools in the U.S. Several suburban schools made this year's list, and College Prep School of America, a private school in Lombard, was ranked as the most challenging in the state. The school ranked as the 53rd most challenging nationally. Adlai Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire came in at No. 3 on the list and Buffalo Grove High School was No. 8. Read Story

Buffalo Grove teacher, swim coach Tom Mroz wins Apple education award
Chicago Tribune, May 2, 2017
An enlightening moment three years ago set Tom Mroz on a path to reaching elite status as an educator. Mroz, a computer science teacher and girls swimming coach at Buffalo Grove, decided his students should learn how to write code for the computers they were using rather than learning a language they had little use for during their high school days. That decision led to Mroz and Hersey teacher Bob Brown being named 2017 Apple Distinguished Educators for their work with Apple and Township High School District 214. Read Story

The Daily Herald, April 28, 2017
Buffalo Grove finished third with a 148.60. That gave the Bison the MSL East title.
"We really wanted to use this as a tuneup for the state sectionals next week," Buffalo Grove coach Zack Crandall said. "Our goal was to break 150 and we just missed that. That being said, we still had a great meet."  Read Story
