Friday Focus - Elevate Travels to Thomas Middle School
BG students from our new Elevate program traveled to Thomas Middle School last Thursday to discuss making positive choices with the middle school students. It was a great day to connect with our future Bison and be positive role models to these students. Thanks to all the Elevate students for demonstrating incredible leadership in our community! #OneBG
District 21/214 Orchestra Festival
Buffalo Grove and Wheeling High School Orchestras, together with Cooper Middle School, London Middle School, and Holmes Middle School participated in the District 21/214 Orchestra Festival on Tuesday.
All district 21 orchestra students pictured above spent the day at BGHS rehearsing with guest conductor Frank Lestina in preparation for the evening's performance.
Pictured below, all of the middle school students joined with the BGHS and WHS orchestras to play a rousing rendition of Take Me Out to the Ballgame to end the night. Guest Conductor Frank Lestina, Sarah (WHS), and BG Orchestra Director, Elizabeth Bennett, lead the audience in singing!
