The Bison Impact:
On Thursday September 15th, our Bison Coed Cheerleaders dropped off dinner to the Highland Park Fire Department before the football game against Deerfield High School.
The Bison take 1st at the Centennial Invite for the 4th consecutive year! Great racing and great effort out of all the girls!
Environmental Club’s Native Garden Project
After a summer of upkeep, weeding, and watering, we have had an outstanding start to the garden getting many wonderful flowers in addition to spotting numerous native bees, butterflies, various insects, and birds. Right now if you pass by you will notice multiple species of asters, goldenrods, and black-eyed susans putting on a show.
The Environmental Club is also excited to say that we completed Phase 2 of the project and filled in the rest of what will ultimately be the middle section of the garden. The Prospect Heights Natural Resource Council provided 800 new plugs for the area. These new plants will work on developing their root system for the next two months, and then they will pop up with full strength in the spring. Additionally, our awesome maintenance and grounds staff will be laying out a pathway through the garden area in the coming weeks. After that, we will be working on establishing a seating area in the garden as well.
Phase 3 of the garden will most likely occur in the spring, and at that time we will work to plant the area that is currently grass in between the future pathway and the sidewalk.
With the waning daylight and warm weather, we hope that you are able to make some time to go enjoy the final blooms of the season and see what we have filled in.
The BG Choirs will be celebrating Buffalo Grove High School’s 50th Birthday with an Alumni Showcase concert titled Broadway is Back! All Choir alumni from the last 50 years are invited to perform with us! Stay tuned for registration!

RETAKES / MAKE UPS FOR ALL GRADES is OCTOBER 27th from 8:30-3:00 at Buffalo Grove HS. There are no appointments. Students should report to the Community Room whenever their schedule allows.

SENIORS. If you are going to the Wheeling VIP Studio for your portraits, they must be scheduled and taken by November 30th to be in our Yearbook.
If you signed up for a session after November 30th, please come to school dressed for portraits on October 27th or schedule an earlier sitting so we can get your image for the yearbook.

BGHS will be hosting college and military reps both in person and virtually. All rep visits, even the virtual visits, will be held in the College and Career Center (room G153). Please pick up a pass in the College and Career Center to attend any of these rep visits.
