  • PE Leaders class focuses on others through the Lindbloom Fun Run today, raising funds to support the education fund for Mrs. Lindbloom’s two boys, Ryan and Josh.  If you would like to join us in support of Ryan and Josh, you may contribute to the Lindbloom boys education fund at:

  • Congratulations to Assistant Principal Mark Schaetzlein, who received the Illinois Educator’s Award from the Illinois Director of Student Activities (IDSA) last night!

  • Community Build Day!  Geometry in Construction students work alongside Bosch Tools employees to build a home for Veteran Tony.  This project works in conjunction with A Soldier’s Journey Home.  In May the home will be built onsite in Spring Grove.

Making of an All-American: Tyler Lubbat, bass fisherman/student

Check off All-American for Tyler Lubbat. Lubbat was one of 12 named to the the Bassmaster High School All-American Fishing Team. But the junior at Buffalo Grove High School may be an even better student than fisherman. Read Story

'Spamalot' gallops into the Buffalo Grove High School theater

The award-winning Broadway musical "Spamalot" will play on the Buffalo Grove High School theater stage from Thursday, April 20 through Saturday, April 22. With book and lyrics by Monty Python member Eric Idle and score created by Idle and John Du Prez, "Spamalot" is the highly irreverent retelling of the Arthurian legend. The show was the winner of the 2005 Tony Award for Best Musical, among other accolades.  Read Story

Student Spotlight: Class helps Buffalo Grove entrepreneur launch and co-run business
214 Ready! Blog, April 11, 2017
Jackie Molloy took her first entrepreneurship class as a sophomore. Now, the Buffalo Grove High School junior is co-running a startup that is selling its product in stores across Chicago. Jackie and her classmates created Skunk Aid – a deskunking kit for dogs – in their entrepreneurship course, which is part of a District 214 entrepreneurship program that engages students in all aspects of building a business, from identifying and solving a problem to creating a business model and testing their product in the real world. Buffalo Grove looks to expand Choral Program

In an announcement that stunned some Township High School District 214 students and parents, the final curtain call for the award-winning Buffalo Grove Expressions show choir will be later this school year, putting an end to a program that has been running for more than 40 years. Read Story

4. Where did you go to high school? I went to East Side High School in Madison, Wisconsin
5. What part of working at BG do you find the most rewarding? Helping students with their research projects

6. What is something unique about you? I speak Norwegian

7. What activities or clubs do you coach/ sponsor? Since the library is open from 7:00 - 4:00 Monday - Friday, it doesn't leave me anytime to coach
