Girls soccer: Scouting Northwest
The Daily Herald, March 17, 2017
Outlook: Things looked a little bleak after a rough start for the Bison last season -- but they nonetheless managed to put aside a less than sparkling nonconference record to win the MSL East with a stingy defense and high work rate. "We had a slow start last season, but I was very proud of the way our players were able to grind out a division title, and I'm hoping those back from that team can draw from that experience in order to compete for another title," said Pat Dudle. Baseball: Scouting Northwest
The Daily Herald, March 23, 2017
Outlook: The Bison could make a strong run at the East title thanks to a solid core of pitchers and 7 returning starters. The pitching staff returns 19 starts and 127 innings from last season and is led by Jack Vaselaney, John Carpinelli and Mac Camardo. BG also welcomes back John Lundgren, who was injured all of last season and who Miller feels could be one of the "top pitchers in the area." Chase Marsh and Riley Rundquist lead the offense. 1. What is your name?  Cristina Lopez
2. What department have you/ do you work in? World Language/Social Studies/ELL

3. How long have you been working at BG? This is my 11th year.
4. Where did you go to high school? I graduated from Elk Gove High School.
5. What part of working at BG do you find the most rewarding? I find student success the most rewarding. I really enjoy seeing a student overcome a challenge and accomplish her or his goal. When students succeed, their self confidence grows and this often leads to higher motivation.
6. What is something unique about you?  Before working in education, I worked in advertising.  One of my accounts was Jewel. During that time they promoted their "Preferred Savings Card" quite heavily. I had the opportunity to be a hand model for the Jewel print media.  My preferred card and hand were featured in newspaper ads and billboards. I would have to get manicures to match the red in the Jewel logo.

7. What activities or clubs do you coach/ sponsor? What activities at BG do you follow? I am very passionate about soccer, therefore I follow the boys and girls soccer teams.  However, there are a great many talented athletes at BG and it is wonderful to celebrate their successes.
