Tom Trieb’s football career has been defined by his versatility. Last season, the Buffalo Grove junior played running back, safety, outside linebacker and defensive end. In college, Trieb is slated to play a new position: Tight end. Trieb gave an oral commitment to Northern Illinois on Saturday. Staff Spotlight

1. What is your name? Joan Dabe

2. What department have you/do you work in and what do you do? I work as a Technology Assistant in the library.

3. How long have you been working at BG? This is my 16th year at Buffalo Grove High School.

4. Where did you go to high school?  Notre Dame High School

5. What part of working at BG do you find the most rewarding?  Being part of the library staff, I have the opportunity to work with both staff and students on a regular basis.  It's a great feeling to leave at the end of the day knowing that you've helped them with whatever task they're trying to accomplish.
6. What is something unique about you? My last name.  It seems that the shorter the name, the more complex people want to make it.  Mine is like Abe with a D in front of it (Dabe). It makes for some very interesting and awkward introductions.

7. What activities or clubs do you follow? I'm always amazed at the talented individuals at BG.  The plays, and the music which accompanies them, are so well done that they are truly a tribute to the staff and students who make them so remarkable.
