Principal Wardle's Weekly Blog 12/4/2015

Friday Focus  -  Parent Workshop
There are few occasions or experiences that I am willing to whole-heartedly endorse to the entire BG community.  This, however, is one of the exceptions.  Bob Leece has been teaching this class for many years, which has been attended by parents, faculty, and administration.  Few programs receive more positive feedback than this program.  I hope you consider attending this series of workshops.  It is invaluable material that you will implement at home the next day! Space is limited to 100 parents.

Celebrating Our Success!

  • Two students from BGHS were honored for the Youth Art Calendar Contest.  Joanna Biagi was a finalist and so her photograph, Bee on a Flower, has been published in their calendar for the month of May and she also received $50.  Brenda Hogan received an Honorable Mention and her work, Mr. Grasshopper, is being featured in a display at the American Enterprise Bank through the month of December.

  • Congratulations to team captain and junior, Colin Groh, for making the Scholastic Bowl Kickoff Tournament All Tournament Team!  The top 10-12 students that answer the most questions in the tournament are selected on the All Tournament Team.

  • Twenty of our students placed in top 3 overall at the DECA Regional Competition on November 30, and they will move on to the state competition!
