Friday Focus:   Distinguished Service Award Winner Cheryl Griffin

Every year Buffalo Grove High School honors a community member for their incredible service to the school.  This year’s Distinguished Service Award winner is Cheryl Griffin. Cheryl has been on the parent orchestra board, Friends of the Orchestra (FOTO), for the past four years and has been a tremendous asset with unwavering support. Cheryl consistently goes above and beyond regular duties asked of her, and always has the success of the students and the program as her first interest. Cheryl is the first to offer assistance when a need arises and does so with enthusiasm. Thank you Cheryl and family for your dedication and service to Buffalo Grove High School!

Buffalo Grove High School has won the Arlington Heights Police Department’s Speed Awareness Education Challenge. In an effort to get the attention of local teens, Arlington Heights police created a contest last September for the best video production describing the dangers and consequences of speeding. The goal is to compel young drivers to follow posted speed limits. All schools in District 214 plus Christian Liberty Academy and St. Viator High School were invited to compete.
